The First National Bank Presents Annual
EITC Scholarship Donation
The First National Bank and Trust Company of Newtown has
once again teamed up with Buckingham Friends School to distribute its annual
$95,000 Educational Improvement Tax Credit Program scholarship donation to
eight area schools. The Educational Improvement Tax Credit Program is a great
way for businesses to direct tax dollars.
“We have proudly provided scholarship funding to
local schools for the past few years.” explained The First’s President and CEO,
John T. Parry. “The EITC helps to provide children and families with a choice
in their education and a chance in life.”
The
scholarship program falls under Pennsylvania’s Educational Improvement Tax
Credit Program which seeks to support education by encouraging corporate
donations to non-profit scholarship or educational improvement organizations in
exchange for tax credits.
