The First Recognizes Student Tellers
The First National Bank & Trust Company of Newtown recently recognized twenty students at Saint Andrew School, Newtown for their participation in the student teller program. These students have run and operated the bank branch located within the school since its opening in October 2011. The branch is open for deposits and withdrawals two days a week under the management oversight of two tellers from The First.
A pizza party was held at the school on May 17th and certificates and gifts were given to the following 7th and 8th grade tellers: Nick Armetta, Nina Adams, Adam Gasiewski, Julie Hoover, Alex Gergel, Georgia O’Connor, Bryn Skelly, Daniel, Pawluczyk, Brianna Cowles, Domenic Principato, Abigail Aita, Conor Grabowski, Kelly Doran, John Madden, Nick Parkes, Erin Roche, Rosa Sava, Nick Tentiluci, Joseph Braun, and Emma Jennings.
While the school branch will be closed for the summer, students can access their accounts for withdrawals and deposits through any of the other 12 bank branches throughout Bucks County. The branch will reopen in September with the start of the new school year.
“We are proud to offer this unique experience to the students at Saint Andrew School,” said John Parry, CEO of The First. “They have done an outstanding job and have gained valuable financial lessons that will serve them well in the future.”
Founded in 1864, The First National Bank is Bucks County’s oldest, most established bank, with twelve branches throughout Central and Lower Bucks County. The First is committed to local ownership, operation and investment.
