The First National Bank Presents Donation to the Eagle Fire Company
The First National Bank and Trust Company of Newtown recently presented the New Hope Eagle Fire Company with a $5,000 donation. The donation will go towards the expansion of the fire house which began in the spring of 2012.
The Eagle Fire Company, an all-volunteer company, is the oldest in Bucks County and serves the New Hope-Solebury area along with other communities in times of need. The expansion is the first in over 40 years and will include new accommodations for the latest equipment and technology along with new training facilities. It will also include a fire museum which will be open to the public and will serve as an educational tool for both children and adults.
“The First commends the volunteers of the Eagle Fire Company for their commitment and dedication to protecting the residents of Bucks County,” said Dan Schaffer, President of The First. “We are proud to support them in their expansion.”
Founded in 1864, The First National Bank is Bucks County’s oldest, most established bank, with twelve branches throughout Central and Lower Bucks County. The First is committed to local ownership, operation and investment.
