The First National Bank Celebrates Branch Re-Opening

The First National Bank celebrated the opening of its newly constructed Fairless Hills Branch with a ribbon cutting ceremony on April 11, 2016. The new building, constructed by C&H Construction, Inc., opened for business on March 14th. It replaces the original Fairless Hills Branch, which also operated in the DEON Square Shopping Center and opened for business in January 1989. President and CEO, Daniel Schaffer, joined board member, Allen R. Fidler III, and Branch Manager, Charmaine Harvey, along with representatives from the Lower Bucks Chamber of Commerce, C&H Construction and DEON Square to celebrate the occasion. The First National Bank Announces Management Changes

The First National Bank is pleased to announce the following management changes: Karen Rice is the new Branch Manager at our Main Office (Newtown). Karen joined The First as a Management Trainee in 2002 and became the Washington Crossing Manager in 2003; she was promoted to Corporate Officer later that year. In 2006 Karen moved to the Solebury Branch where she spent nine years as the Branch Manager before moving to the Main Office in 2015.     Joseph Schofield is the new Branch Manager at our Washington Crossing Branch. The First Celebrates Groundbreaking of Newtown Borough’s Steeple View Redevelopment Project

Representatives from The First National Bank, local dignitaries and other key participants came together on Tuesday, December 15th, to celebrate the groundbreaking of Newtown Borough’s redevelopment project, Steeple View. The First is providing financing for Phase 1 of this multi-million dollar enhancement to the borough. The first of twelve buildings contains 13,000 square feet of first floor retail space, including a Banana Republic and a Francesca’s; 10 custom condominiums ranging in size from 1,500 to 4,000 square feet will occupy the second and third floors. The First Celebrates Branch Milestones

The First National Bank has reason to celebrate at two Branches this month: The Wrightstown Branch is celebrating its 50th Anniversary! The first branch office, Wrightstown opened in November 1965. Past and current managers gathered to commemorate the occasion with food and giveaways at the branch.       The Richboro Branch is celebrating the completion of its new entrance which has been under construction since the spring. The First Continues Tradition, Donates $100,000 to Local Schools

For the tenth consecutive year, The First National Bank and Trust Company of Newtown has partnered with Buckingham Friends School to distribute its Educational Improvement Tax Credit Program scholarship donation. The $100,000 donation was presented to eight area schools on October 8, 2014.
