The First gives you the convenience of depositing a check anytime from your mobile device.
Enrolling
Your first step is to enroll in Mobile Deposit
Eligibility
To be eligible to use Mobile Deposit, you must:
- be enrolled in Online Banking.
- install the Mobile Banking app to your device. Search the Google Play Store® or iTunes Store® for First National Bank Newtown.
Things to know before you begin:
- Endorse your check with “FNBN Mobile Deposit Only” and then sign your name.
- You may only deposit one check at a time.
- Checks drawn on non-US Banks cannot be deposited using Mobile Deposit.
- Funds from Mobile Deposits will not be seen in your account until after posting to your account that night.
- All deposits made after 3:30 pm will be processed on the next business day.
- All deposits are subject to review and approval by the bank. Holds may be placed on individual deposits at our discretion.

Making a Mobile Deposit:
- Endorse your check with “FNBN Mobile Deposit Only” and then sign your name.
- Open the FNB Newtown app on your mobile device and login.
- Choose ‘Deposit‘
- Click the drop-down menu and select the account to deposit the funds.
- Enter the amount of the check you are depositing.
- Select ‘Front of Check‘. Using the device’s camera, take a photo of the front of the check.
- Select ‘Back of Check‘. Using the device’s camera, take a photo of the back of the check.
- Select ‘Deposit‘.
- Confirmation, you will receive a green message confirming your check has been deposited.
- Check your account the next business day to verify the deposit was made. To view the status of your deposits, go to the deposit history in the app. We recommend storing the check in a safe place for 30 days and then destroying it.
