Visa® Account Updater
What is VAU?
Visa® Account Updater is a service that will automatically update your Visa® Debit Card number and/or expiration date on file if you have recurring payments set up using your First National Bank of Newtown Visa® Debit Card.
With VAU in place, will I have to inform merchants of a change to my Visa® Debit Card?
As a debit card holder you will need to verify with your merchant if they participate in the VAU program as not all merchants participate in this program. You would still be responsible for monitoring your account to make sure your recurring payment (s) are being deducted from your account.
How long does it take for card information to update?
Most often it only takes 2 business days to update your card records. However, updates are not guaranteed by merchants before the next billing cycle.
What if I want to Opt-Out or discontinue with the VAU service?
You can opt-out of VAU at any time. The First offers the following options:
- Call our EFT Department at 215-579-3400. Our hours are Monday-Friday 8:30 am – 5:00 pm, and Saturday 9:00 am – 12:00 pm.
- Stop into any one of our Branches and complete a maintenance form.
- Complete the Opt Out form found here. This form can be dropped off at any of our Branches, or mailed to:
