In 1864, during America’s Civil War, a handful of visionary business leaders decided to open a bank in Newtown, Pennsylvania. Since then, we’ve guided our customers through many difficult times, from the Great Depression and two World Wars, to a worldwide recession and a global pandemic. We’ve seen a lot of banks come and go over the years, but The First has remained. No name changes.
